My journey into community ministry was one that often challenged me to question how I ever might serve the United Church at all. Coming from the streets I always questioned how I might fit into a congregation.

However, as a community ministry I find that I am uniquely equipped to walk the streets of Parkdale as well as the corridors of churches. Working in communities and speaking in many churches I have learned that in some way no matter where we are located we are all ambassadors for God's love.

A gift that I find I most cherish is that during my travels not only can I reassure those on the street that there is a God who loves them and forgives them, I can also let them know that there is a church and there are people who also care and love them enough to send me to check in on them.
