On December 5th 2002, Majda received a City of Toronto Food Action Award for Outstanding Achievement. Majda had faithfully tended the King Dunn community garden for over eight years. This spring we had a youth group from Westway United visit to help Majda till the soil. Majda's gift with nurturing the soil clearly extends nurturing young minds as she explained urban gardening to them. Congratulations and thank you, Majda!
